Hi, my name is Sophie Smith, I am a therapeutic counsellor and a registered member of the BACP (British association for counselling practice). I am currently only able to offer telephone or online sessions.

I like to work with clients who are willing to be open minded to the counselling process. I enjoy working with a wide range of issues and if a client has a goal in mind we can look to achieve this. On the other hand, if a client hasn't set goals it's a opportunity to look at what they want to achieve in counselling.

My counselling practice is based around the client and what they need and want from the process. I provide a safe, non judgemental and confidential space. 

I can help by using my skills to enable my clients to experience their thoughts and feelings in a tailored service as every client is unique and they deal with issues differently.

I have worked with many different types of issues from addiction, sexual abuse, stress, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ, children and young people and relationships.

It is key for the way I work to build trust so that you feel secure and at ease. There will be non judgment or advice and it's an opportunity for you to explore yourself and to grow your own self awareness. I will be there to help you along the journey.
